Most people already agree that mankind has placed itself in a position where it must choose.
Today, our earth is in a pleasure weather holiday spanning thousands of years, but that will come to a crashing, suffocating end.
We have seen the future and the knowledge has changed everything.
We can't outrun the waste of our reckless global mismanagement and now we understand what the biosphere that we slammed, is going to do to our grandchildren with our waste.
Bottom line for the world: Immediate political 'upgrade' worldwide or suffer the accurately predicted collapse of the biosphere this century.
Another way to say it? If all human lifetimes were viewed as a single human lifetime, we have a heartbeat in which to act.
If we do not get ahead of the destruction curve humanity will be broken by it.
The world must twist itself out of it's current paradigm of consumption and exploitation.
So, how might we create a new paradigm, one of conservation and compassion?
A world where all governments share a commitment to justice, peace and ecological stewardship.

Dolphin Researcher Leslie Finn is on the ISOPS development team.
She travels the globe with the scientific advisory board on solar development and enjoys an expanding profile through her blog-series The Dolphins of Spirit Lagoon.

The "base" has grown over the seasons since it was cluster of expedition tents the autumn of 1788.
Today, Leslie can be found in a casual stroll from the outlaying herb gardens of the Rubicon Great Lakes resort.
Her dolphin pools are a splash of aquatic personalities. One of the dolphins even discovered a cache of ancient relics at the bottom of Spirit Lagoon.
